Wolverhampton Wanderers will square off with Manchester City in an English Premier League match at the Molineux Stadium on December 27.
This will be the 109th league meeting between the two former English champions Wolves and City.
City have the upper hand having recorded 43 wins compared to Wolves’ 42 victories, while 23 matches ended in a draw.
However, Wolves won the last meeting between the two teams on the 6th of October 2019.
They stunned the defending champions 2-0 in a match which was played at the Etihad Stadium.
Conor Coady, the Wolves captain and midfielder, says they rely on the support from their fans during their home matches as they prepare to host City.
“They’re the best crowd in the Premier League, they really are,” Coady said.
“The way they support us, they’re with us, they sing, they do everything they can to push us, and we can’t thank them enough.”
Wolves are hoping to go all the way and clinch their fourth league title having won it in 1954, 1958 and 1958.
Their dangerman is Spanish attacker Adama Traore, who is one of the fastest players in the English Premier League.
While City are keen to successfully defend their league title for the second year running having won the competition six times.
In-form attacker Raheem Sterling will be looking to play an important role in helping City overcome Wolves.
