Ashanti Gold will look to defend top spot on the Ghana Premier League log when they face Medeama SC at Tarkwa T&A Park on Saturday, 28 April 2018, kick-off at 17h00 CAT.
AshGold comes into the game on top of the GPL after claiming 17 points from their opening eight matches, though their recent results have been inconsistent.
The Obuasi-based side defeated Inter Allies 1-0 in their last outing on April 21, but prior to that they were held 1-1 by WAFA and lost 1-0 at Liberty Professionals.
Medeama, though, come into the match on the back of a 1-0 loss away to Eleven Wonders on April 22, while their match away to Elmina Sharks a few days prior was abandoned after an alleged attack on the referee.
The Proudly Colourful side have dropped to fifth on the log with 13 points from seven outings, but winning their game in hand would put them right up there with Ashanti.
