Chelsea’s win on Sunday leaves them a mere two points below rivals and fourth-placed Spurs. The man behind the win Oliver Giroud who scored the only goal is determined to help his team qualify for Champions League.
Chelsea only has two games to go before the end of the season and they don’t have the strongest opposition. However, Huddersfield are fighting to keep themselves out of the relegation zone so they might come out fighting. Chelsea will be eager to secure the three points tonight against Huddersfield as their match later in the week against Everton is not a definite win. Spurs also have two games in favour and face off against New Castle and Leicester City.
At this moment in time 4th position could go to either team when the league wraps up. Giroud is confident his team will make it through to the Champions League next year:
“I hope I can be the lucky charm for the Champions League race in the final sprint,”
