A huge English Premier League game takes place at Stamford Bridge on Sunday as league leaders Chelsea look to take a giant stride towards the title in their home fixture against the in-form Manchester United.

Chelsea continue to lead the way, seven points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table and eight better off than Manchester United. They have yet to taste defeat in a league game at Stamford Bridge this season and other top sides such Arsenal (2-0) and Spurs (3-0) left this stadium empty handed whilst Manchester City and Southampton both drew 1-1. This match and next week’s visit to Arsenal are now the key games, two defeats would still open the door to the chasing pack but Chelsea have played one game fewer than all their rivals and that “insurance” game comes against bottom of the table Leicester. Chelsea continue to grind out wins and a late goal was enough to see off Queens Park Rangers 1-0 last weekend and their last six victories in the Premier League were all by a single goal margin.
Manchester United

The big games are coming thick and fast for Manchester United who recovered from conceding an early goal to win the Manchester derby 4-2 against City at Old Trafford last weekend. That was a very significant result as it took United four points clear of City, who remain in fourth spot, and Louis van Gaal’s team are eight points better off than fifth placed Liverpool. United’s last away fixture produced another win over a rival as they came out on top 2-1 against Liverpool at Anfield and a top four finish which brings qualification for the Champions League next season should now be a formality. United have won away at other top six sides Arsenal and Southampton earlier in the season but they have drawn almost half of their away fixtures including visits to London against Spurs and West Ham.

Summary:
United haven’t beaten Chelsea in any of their last seven meetings (league or cup) but they are in great form right now and look to set to give it a real go against the league leaders. Whether United have enough to chalk up another win and increase the blood pressure of Chelsea fans is another matter but we think both teams will find the net in a game which should live up to top billing.
Pick: Both teams to score? (yes) @1.80.
