The return of Algerian star Riyad Mahrez to the King Power Stadium will be the lead narrative when Leicester City host Manchester City for a Premier League clash on 26 December 2018, kick-off at 17h00 CAT.
Mahrez was a key man for Leicester in his four and a half years at the club and famously inspired their incredible Premier League title triumph in the 2015/16 season. After agitating for a move away, the 27-year-old was finally released by the Foxes in July 2018 when he joined champions Man City for a fee of €67.8million.
Mahrez has settled in well at the Etihad Stadium and helped City mount a strong defence of their title thus far (though at the time of writing they are placed second on the log, one point behind Liverpool).
The Citizens’ recently racked up a 3-1 win over Everton (to bounce back from their 2-0 loss to Chelsea the week prior) and they will head to King Power Stadium on the back of a home match against Crystal Palace on December 22.
