Liverpool will be out to replicate their success against top sides when they face Arsenal at home in Wednesday’s mouth-watering English Premier League (EPL) match.
The Reds have already had success against Manchester City and Chelsea and a win over the gunners will be a morale boosting result at a time the team is fighting for a positive finish in the league.
It will however be a tough outing for the Reds who are playing their fourth match in 12 days considering the injury crisis at the club.
The positive thing is that Liverpool have had five days to rest since they last played in a draw result against Exeter in the Cup fixture allowing some of the injured players to recover.
Going for Liverpool is the fact that they have always dominated home fixtures against the gunners.
In 102 fixtures played at Anfield against Arsenal, the Reds have won 54 and lost just 27 times. However, this may not count for match considering that Liverpool have won just one of their last nine outings at home against the gunners.
None the less adding to the expectation is the fact that Liverpool coach Jurgen Kloop will be looking for his first Premier League win against Arsene Wenger having beaten the Frenchman twice in the Champions league.
Arsenal sit at the top of the league and two clear points and a win over the Reds will be a massive confidence boost as they seek to take advantage of their good position to win the league after a long time. The gunners have every motivation to do it having won the last four out of five fixtures. They have also proven to be able to bounce back from major set-backs as they are set to lose since the boxing day 4-0 loss to Southampton.
