Liverpool will aim to assert their authority over Merseyside derby rivals Everton when the teams meet in a Premier League clash at Anfield on Sunday, 2 December 2018, kick-off at 18h15 CAT.
Liverpool continued their unbeaten run in the league with a 3-0 away win over Watford last weekend. Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino scored the goals as the Reds remained just two points adrift of leaders Manchester City.
However, they did suffer a blow in the match at Vicarage Road as midfielder Jordan Henderson was red carded, meaning he will miss this clash due to suspension. Manager Jurgen Klopp will need to incorporate one of James Milner, Fabinho or Naby Keita into the starting XI in the absence of his regular captain.

Given that there is a five-point gap to fifth-placed Arsenal, the top six may be as good as it gets for the Toffees this season, but they still deserve credit for finding consistency and resilience. They have lost just once in their last nine matches across all competitions and will hope to challenge the Reds in this heated derby.
Liverpool seems to hold all the aces coming into the match: home advantage, historical dominance of the rivalry, the better attack and a more watertight defence. Yet Everton will have the advantage of being fresher, with no midweek match in their schedule compared to the Reds’ tough trip to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night in the UEFA Champions League.
