German forward Mesut Ozil is fit for Sunday’s derby against Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has confirmed that the player is available for selection after being ruled out of last Sunday’s match against Stoke City by a minor foot inflammation.
But Chilean Alexis Sanchez is still doubtful for the match though he has resumed training.
Sanchez has not played since he got injured in November. Wenger is understood to be cautious against rushing back the player fearing he could aggravate the injury.
West Ham have been handed good news after Joey O’Brien was ruled fit for this weekend’s Premier League match.
James Tomkins is however still being assessed after limping off against New Castle United last weekend. Tomkins who will face a late fitness test can however be easily replaced by either Carl Jenkinson or Winston Reid can also be called upon after recovering from a groin problem.
