It looks like things are getting better every day for Arsenal and German midfielder Mesut Ozil.
On the back of a great performance for the gunners this season, the player was on Thursday named German player of the year. He wins the award for the fourth time in the last five five years.
He takes over from Toni Kroos who won the award last year after edging out Ozil who prior to that had won the award three times in a row.
The award is given following a vote by football fans. This year, 51,000 fans took part in the poll with Ozil getting the backing of 45.9 percent of them. Thomas Muller came second with 15.9% of the vote while Jonas Hector was third on 13.6%.
