Real Madrid look to extend their 33 game unbeaten run when they host Borussia Dortmund in tonight’s Champions’ League Group F fixture.Borussia Dortmund have a number of injury concerns with Mario Gotze, Shinji Kagawa and Nuri Sahin all sidelined. Marco Reus was a doubt after having fallen ill but is expected to play while Marcel Schmelzer and Eric Durm are also doubtful. Confounding their worries is their poor form away from home which sees them having won just two of their last five away games in the Champions League. Thomas Tuchel will be hoping that his star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang continues his sparkling form which has seen him score 18 goals in 18 competitive games.
Statistically the odds are against Dortmund. Madrid have scored at least two goals in their last four home matches against Dortmund and are undoubted favorites. They need to win to secure top spot in the group and avoid a being drawn against another major powerhouse in the knockout stages. Our view is that Dortmund will test Real but ultimately, the Spanish giants will be too strong and should emerge victorious.
