After a turbulent stay at Manchester United, goalkeeper Victor Valdes has finally quit the club.
The former Barcelona star has gone to Belgian side Standard Liege on a six month loan deal.
Valdes has been something of a pariah at Old Trafford after a burst up in training with Coach Louis Van Gaal.
It is a move that meant he did not get playing time at the club and has since been trying to force a move out.
Van Gaal was initially not willing to let him go but on Monday, Valdes took to his twitter to break news of his imminent departure.
He wrote:” I’m very proud to be part of Standard de Liege !
